On Tour: Latest Update from Stu
After the gig in Italy, Greg, Dennis and I headed to Tel Aviv. It was my 1st visit to Israel and I must say that everyone was very friendly and helpful and it was a wonderful experience. The gig was sold out and the band played great…check out all of the videos posted by fans on YouTube…I met the Ran Levi, the bass player in the opening band who offered to take me to Jerusalem the day after the gig, and I said…OK….what another amazing experience! Toda Ran! I met a bunch of musicians who had studied at MI at an after show jam in a cool jazz club in Tel Aviv after the show.
After a brief stop over at home in San Francisco, I headed to London to finish a CD I am recording with guitarist Andy Edwards. On drums was Pete Riley, the drummer for Guthrie Govan (with whom I will be playing with in Amsterdam this November at a benefit concert for Jason Becker) and the tracking went smoothly and the grooves were KILLIN’!
Now my 40 hours in London are almost done, back to SF for a day them back down to LA to get back to work at MI…can’t wait!!
